Emily Nishikawa

Olympic Cross Country Skier 

Emily was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. She did many sports as a young child, but eventually found her passion in cross country skiing. Emily has been pursuing her goals as an athlete since graduating high school.  She now lives in Canmore, Alberta where she is a member of the National Ski Team.  

Emily's career highlight was becoming an Olympian in 2014.  She loves sharing her experiences and her passion of sport to others.  Emily works hard to promote a healthy lifestyle and to inspire future generations of Olympians.  

In her spare time, Emily loves to drink coffee, cook healthy meals, and work towards a degree in psychology.  Emily would like to become an elementary school teacher one day.  Emily also volunteers with Fast and Female, Classroom Champions and Northern LYTES, and does various speaking engagements at schools.
